Medal, bronze. Archconfraternity of the Holy Family. Oval with integrally cast loop for hanging at the top. O/ depiction of the holy family, with dove, inscr. "Jesus, Mary, Joseph". R/ inscr. "Archconfraternity of the Holy Family" around edge; "Established by Pius IX April 1847" in centre. At base, below five pointed mullet "Made in England" Counterstamped above mullet, "O'Connor, Limerick". Attached to a green silk ribbon, for hanging around the neck, by black cotton thread which passes through the loop on the medal.
