Lemon strainer; Limerick Silver by Samuel Johns c 1760. Plain bowl, perforated in a radiating swirl pattern; rim has stiff-leaf foliage at the four quarters with banding between. Ornately curving opposing handles with curlicues attached to underside of rim. Maker's mark "SJ" in a rectangular frame on the underside of the outer end of one handle. The other handle has a repair visible on the underside.
