Design, Limerick lace. White ink design on grey paper mounted on cloth. Half of a broad crescent shaped collar, titled at bottom left "Irish "Pot Lace"/ Limerick." Wave edge outer border; two narrow bands in wave pattern coming together at crest of each outer wave, with alternating dot and diagonal lines within the fields thus crated. Inner border of pointed ovals one side with slightly lobed outer arc. Inside design of three double handles tripod cauldrons, set between paired large pointed ovals; short strands of foliage rising from the two at left, right hand cauldron has a long foliage trail to point of collar, branching to pendant five pointed star-like flowers above each cauldron and at end of trail. Mounted on thin plain white cotton cloth. Framed 1998; plain pale wood; Chris Doswell framer's sticker on reverse.
