Design, Limerick lace. White ink design on grey paper mounted on cloth. Repeating wide border design, titled at bottom left "Irish Dot Lace/ Limerick". Wave edge rising to curved sided triangle at centre and both sides; above each triangle is a double handled tripos cauldron, from which rises a single branching stem the central branch running to top of border with two main branches to either side, with pointed leaves and five pointed star like flowers; half way between the cauldrons a line of diminishing sized pointed ovals with short radiating foliage; below pointed ovals and cauldrons, areas with trailing shamrocks; between central stems rising from cauldrons, repeating small cauldrons in 2, 3, 2, 3, 4 pattern. Mounted on thin white cotton cloth. Framed 1998; plain light coloured wood frame; Chris Doswell framer's sticker on reverse.
