Design, Limerick lace. White ink design on grey paper mounted on cloth. Design for table mat/ handkerchief; square border design, with large central blank square; full design on one diagonal half of square, borders in outline over rest. Inner border plain wavy edge, with small close set waves. Outer border; in each corner two conjoined pointed ovals in a figure of 8, with half ovals to either side of lower, single pointed oval at centre of each side, linked to each each corner by narrow wave edge band, with serrations on inner curve. Inner design; short lengths of foliage radiating from upper oval at corner; from central oval radiating symmetrical foliage, incorporating small six-petal rosettes. Label in one corner, printed in black within red frame on white paper "889/ Price £", with "10/-" added in black ink in price space. Mounted on thin plain white cotton cloth. Framed 1998; light wood frame; Chris Doswell framer's sticker on reverse.
