Designs, for Limerick lace; in pencil on either side of a cut down Ordnance Survey sheet. Design on back of map; a border design; wavy edge, three main ones with wavy edge band along each; band of seaweed inside border rise at alternate wave crests to an inner border of arrowhead like foliage; below border are symmetrical pairs of sea-horses with tails grasping seaweed; above inner border rise two separate stems which branch into c. 7 different types of seaweed; dots between the seaweed above inner border and filling space between sea-horses; whole effect is of a view below and above water. On map; the sheet is at the edge of the county, with large blank areas to the left side; the printed frame around this blank area has been used as lay-out line for design; a 32 cm square, divided equally into four by halving sides and also into four diagonally; design covers little over one quarter, with diagonals as boundary; design for handkerchief, central blank area; outer border wavy edge with heart shapes in each corner and wave edge pointed oval at centre; inner curling border with central quatrefoil with five radiating pendant branches with paired pointed leaves; from each corner a trail of foliage running towards central group with fritillary like dotted flowers. Map has "Co. Cork" at left and the adjacent map no 57 at top; from partial townland name at right can say it is sheet 68. Sheet embossed at top; oval, with shield and two supporters; detail not clear but motto over and under; Ordnance Survey Office stamp? Framed 1998; light wood frame; Chris Doswell framer's sticker.
