Petrol pump. Geary's Garage, Glentworth St., (Avery Hardoll type?) 1920s
In four sections;.
1) Cast iron base unit. Square base with bolt holes at corners, changing to tubular and rising ro a square flange at top; pipe from storage tank cast as one with the tubular section; short length of pipe in this with nut marked 'Crane, bronze and iron'. Painted black.
2) Pump section. Copper tube which houses the pump, rinsing from flange on fist section to base of third section. Iron rods at all four corners protect the tube from damage.
3) Metering section. Square box with dial on front for amounts of petrol and removable crank handle on front. Label to bottom left 'Geary's Garage, Lmerick': Front unpaoneted, remainder green
4) Deliver section, Green painted pipe rising vertically to joint where second pipe which connects to the delivery hose. Vertical section is topped with vent? and two hoks to rest nozzle on.
