Irishtown marked Base Towne, main street therein named The Waye To The Hye Towne. Note man in Spanish style clothing on this street, walking towards English Town. Top right of Englishtown, The Toune marked at church. Churches etc: St.Mary's Cathedral marked The Church, another church tower with spire above, and one left marked A Chapel, probably the Dominicans, also church with tower shown beside gate over bridge from Englishtown to Irishtown (Crutchfriars or Franciscans). Castles etc: King John's Castle marked Kynges Castel, also note Water Gate with chain boom depicted, Castel in Irishtown (Thomcore?), also John's Gate, Irishtown, marked Gmealo / Gate (=Kilmallock?), with outworks. West water gate in Irishtown shown with twin towers. Note variation in towers shown, especially one in Irishtown on wall only. Note sallyports in Englishtown wall, one onto Kings Island, one onto Abbey River. Note variations in battlements depicted. Mills: one in Abbey river, with drawbridge, also tidal mill in river left of Water Gate. Note also three boats fishing in stream, two with sail shown up, below Tomont Gate, one without sail or mast, above, with three people shown, one possibly two rowing. All shown with person using net fron stern. Three ships shown, one inside boom with sails furled, two outside: one with full sails and bow wave, one other anchored with sails furled. king's Island marked The Ilande.
