Postcard, colour matt, landscape format. Title at top left "The Quays, Limerick." View along the quays from Docks, with twin funnelled paddle steamer and four sailing ships berthed alongside; in foreground a boy sits on a pile of rope and another sits on quay edge; in distance at left edge, sarsfield Bridge with tower of St. Mary's behind. Reverse printed in green; at centre a heart shape with a person (female or cavalier figure) behind, with "Hartmann" on heart and "Trade Mark" on scroll below; to left of last "Post" to right "Card"; vertical dotted division line; to left "For Inland Postage only this space may/ be used for communication."; to right "The Address only to be written here." Box for stamp at top right, inside which "Only the/ Address on/ this side/ if sent/ Abroad", and "Printed in Saxony" down outer left side. Circular black cancellation in area of stamp box, "Limerick/ PM/ 3 30/ AU 17/ 03"; sent without stamp, large black "1D" to pay cancellation to left of cancellation. Addressed to Mrs Coles, 95 Shelgate Road, Clapham, London, from G? Carter, stating that sender all right after accident.
