Spoon, Limerick silver serving spoon, by William Fitzgerald. Old English pattern with very slight down turn. All over ornament on handle; bright cut pointed oval of punched Ds with double inner border of short radial lines, in which engraved "HM"; six rayed sunburst above with double radial dashes around edge of spoon; directly below oval a line of four arrow shapes terminating with four dashes; below oval, zig-zag border with double row of radial dashes inside Pointed oval bowl, with asymmetrical rounded drop. Maker's marks on reverse of handle below the widest point; "W F G" twice, with fleur-de-lis between and to either side.
