Bottle. Clear glass, square cross-section, straight sides, rounded shoulders to short cylindrical neck, flat everted rim; tapered ground glass stopper with upright oval handle. Three printed labels, two on one face black on white, one on opposite side blue on white. Top label "From O'Shaughnessy./ Surgeon & Chemist Ordinary to her majesty" over a rectangular box; up left side of box, outside "Physicians/ Prescriptions and"; up right side " Family Receipts/ Carefully prepared"; below "Medical Hall 12, George's St. Limerick"; in box, Ms in black ink "Syrup Ipecacuan." Lower label, partly damaged, "From O'Shaughness(y),/ Surgeon & Chemist in Ordinary to her Majesty/ Medical Hall, 12 George St, Limeri(c)k".
