Print: Ruins of Kilmallock in the County of Tipperary. Eastgate sculpt; Published according to Act of Parliament by Alexr Hogg, No. 16, Paternoster Row (London) . In foreground, hummocky grassland, a small tree to l., three people standing together, one with a stick, viewing the ruins in the middle distance. Ruins of two ecclesiastical buildings l. half, one with central square tower, the other partly battlemented with a round tower at the corners facing forward, a shorter rectangular tower behind the r. round tower, and a slate roofed structure behind the l. round tower. A low wall with gateway partially surrounds these. To r., walled town of Kilmallock, the wall partially in ruins with broad U-shaped hollows on top; a towerhouse in the angle of the wall nearest; a two towered gateway opposite; some tall houses between towerhouse and gate. In r. background, ruins of two tall houses, one with each wall gabled. Clouds in background and in sky. Watermark: vertical parallel lines, Prince of Wales feathers at base, cut. Press marks and line margin around print.
