Pattern makers tool of J Finnan. Bronze. Consists of two rectangular plates of metal joined at right angles along one long side, held by solder along the inside of the angle, the outside of the angle rounded. A square plate handle is soldered centrally to the plates on the inside of the angle, at right angles to the long axis, the inside corner of the handle, in the angle of the plates, clipped. The outer edges of the handle are filed level with the outer edges of the plates. Each face of the handle is stamped with the initials J.F. The outer faces of the plates are polished, and the short edges externally bevelled.
