Wine funnel and stand, Limerick silver by Samuel Johns, c.1780. Funnel stand: Shallow flat bottomed dish with a rounded bevel to a flat rim, on which is applied, above, a beaded border to the stand. The centre top has the engraved monogram L P?. Marks: SJ in rectangle and STERLING in rectangle, on base, both marks worn but readable. There is a small dot in the centre top.
