Wine funnel and stand, Limerick silver by Samuel Johns, c.1780. Funnel bowl: Shallow round bowl with everted rim. On the base is an applied ring over which the stem fits. Within the ring the base is perforated with holes 1 mm diameter. Hammer marks are visible on the inside of the bowl, and concentric circles as if made by a lathe in the base inside the ring. Monogram L P? engraved on the body. No makers mark.
