Certificate of membership of the Typographical Association of Richard P O'Connor, Feb 1879. Signed by Richard Iveson, president, and Henry Slatter, secretary. Colour printed scenes on card. In top corners busts in profile named in Gothic lettering Wynryn de Borde and Johann Gutenberg. In centre, bust of a bearded man, date 1474 in background, poem dedicated to Caxton, founder of the British press, below. Books, spines forward, below this, The Book of God and Advancement ... Civilisation. Below this, scene of bearded man, seated, reading page, young man and two older around, titled Caxton examining proof sheet. These centre scenes bordered with rose plants.
