Address, illuminated, to Mr John Godsell from the Limerick Branch of the Amalgamated Union of Bakers, also his fellow citizens and the various trade and labour unions of the city on the occasion of his retirement from the Presidency of the Mechanics Institute, Limerick. Undated. Highly ornate, with Celtic animal and geometric interlace. There are six cut outs, through which are seen photographs of Godsell and his wife, a colour postcard of St Johns Cathedral, a coloured drawing of the Bakers Arms, a coloured drawing of a wheatsheaf and a colour postcard of the Treaty Stone. The arms of the four provinces are incorporated in the border around the text. Signed, lettered by the illuminator, on behalf of the bakers by T Cusack, president, P?
