Co. clare/ Famous for its medeival banquets and sweet mead, Bunratty Castle is an imposing medieval fortress built in 1422./ It was restored to its former glory in 1954 and contains authentic 15th and 16th century furnishings./ In the wooded grounds of the castle, are many authentic cottages and crofts from Ireland's past and a complete/ 19th century street. The scent of burning turf, home baked apple pie and a Guinness in Mac's pub/ make for a memorable visit. Not used.
