Shaving Mug. Used by Eamon de Valera at Lincoln Prison 1918. Cylindrical with concave sides. Glazed whiteware with black transfer on base, a crown, over, P C/ O/ a globe with Mintons across the centre, over, Leadless/ Glaze. Two circular white stickers on base; one reads, Dev/ Lincoln, the other, early/ Oct/ 1918. A third sticker on the inside below the rim reads, Dev. Short vertical crack extending down c 2.5 from rim; slight chip at rim end of the crack.
