Postcard, b/w. Irish Rebellion May 1916, George Noble Count Plunkett, FSA, father of Joseph Plunkett who was executed and John Plunkett, sentenced to Penal servitude, Arrested May 1st 1916 and detained in Richmond Barracks till June 5th and now Deported to Oxford. Half length portrait, looking directly at camera, wearing a dark jacket with medal hanging from ribbon around neck and another on lapel; set in a rectangular frame with title above and below. Reverse printed in black on white; Post Card at centre top with divider below; Printed and published by the Powell Press, 22 Parliament St., Dublin, up left edge; This space may be used for printed / or written matter, to left of centre; The Address Only to be Written Here, to right of centre; box for stamp at top right. Unused. In pencil, IR/53; £8; & 340, in a circle.
