Deed of partnership between Samuel E Lee and Richard J Lee, 1899. Three sheets of paper folded in half to form a booklet of 12 pages, held together at centrefold with red thread, now mostly gone. Each page, excluding the last, has ruled red margins on all four sides. Text written on first eight sides. Document folded in half twice and a summary of contents written on the outside fold of the 12th side, J Blackall and Son , 93 George St., solicitors who drew up deed. Partnership re family business trading as Harrison Lee & Sons, City Foundry; signed by both partners and witnessed by Robert Evans, accountant, 37 Cecil St and Thomas Walsh, Law Clerk, 2 New Street. Red paper seal affixed after partners' names. Front page annotated in pencil at top, 10/-. Red embossed stamp duty at top left; a crown over a garlanded Ten/Shillings. Watermark; W S H & Co/ 1898, on one side, a crowned fleur de lis in a cartouche over W S H & Co, on the other.
