Certificate. Royal Humane Society citation for award of silver medal to Richard J Lee 1881. Printed certificate with Society logo at centre top, details filled out in faded black ink. At a meeting on 12th July 1881, William Hayes in the chair, it was decided to present Richard J Lee with the Society's silver medal for, jumping into the Shannon, on 21st June 1881 to recue Thomas Molloy who was in imminent danger of drowning. Signed by President, Secretary and Chairman, none of whose signatures is entirely clear, J.B Home? secretary. Certificate printed black on white. Pasted to a piece of board which is longer but narrower than the certificate.
