Postcard, colour, glossy. Shannon Free Airport and Industrial Estate, Co. Clare, Ireland. John Hinde. Immediately beyond the buildings are an Aer Lingus four propellor aeroplane, EI-ALG, with steps to the doorway at the back, and beyond, a Pan American plane with steps at the doorway at the front. To l. and r. of this are red and yellow petrol tankers of Shell BP. In the distance are multi-storey apartment blocks of Shannon town and low hills in the distance. Addressed to Miss Linda Kellermann, 90 Spring Street, Amherst, Mass, USA, from Papi, dated 9th July 1962, 10 am, just landed in Shannon, pleasant trip, will continue to Dusseldorf in an hour.
