View of cathedral from across square, with water fountain at left, with small group sat around its base; a group of people standing around the door to the cathedral. Reverse printed in brown; at centre top a helmed shield with "WR/ &S" inside with scroll on thistles behind; on scroll "Post" to left "Card" to right and "Reliable Series" below at centre; left of centre "For Correspondence" to right "For Address Only"., box for stamp obscured by stamp. Halfpenny pale green postage revenue stamp of Edward VII, late usage. Circular cancellation "Castletroy/ 7 MAY 12/ Limerick" Addressed to Miss Frieda Lenzinger, Forster House, Galway, message re travel arrangements. Pencil dealer's mark at top right of centre, "£10"
