Cigar, box of five made at Spillane's Tobacco Factory, Sarsfield St, Limerick. Cigars named Limerick. Box, of cardboard, printed green, the same on the two main faces, landscape format. Down centre, a rectangular shield outline with at top, Limerick city arms, the motto on scroll below, and below, G. Spillane & Co. Ltd. / Limerick. Across the box over the centre of the shield, a curved scroll inscribed Limericks. Down l., Mild / Extra / Fine; down r., Smoking / Quality. Across, below shield, The best "Five Lines" made. The two narrow faces printed 5 Limericks 5. The cigar container slides out from either end of the box, and has a flap at each end which folds partly over the cigars. Each cigar is rectangular in cross section with a band of white paper around printed in green, Limerick.
