Scabbard, leather, of sword, naval, eagle head pommel, reputedly used by Lord Edward Fitzgerald at his arrest in 1798. A gilt shield on each side at the opening of the scabbard has, on one side, an anchor and cable in relief, and on the other, the British ensign in use before the Act of Union.
