Postcard, b.w; landscape format, white margin around view. Title at centre botom in view "The Square, Newcastle West". View looking across the square to "Square House, to left of centre, with road running off to either side of the large double fronted building; there is a sale on in the shop of Square House; with one car parked directly outside and two in the square; cross in the square and a white phone box at right end of Square House. A number of carts are parked by the kerb of the main road through the square and a "P & T" van is passing by them. Reverse printed in green "Post Card" at centre top; "Printed in the Republic of Ireland" up centre as division; "Correspondence" to left "Address" to right "Produced by Cardall Ltd. Dublin Copyright Reserved" at centre bottom. Not used. "Rubber stamped "1 Jun 1963". Pencil dealer's marks "Eire", "1.2500/las" "9B1 051" and "£25".
