Flags, wood and textile. Pair of touchline flags, used in the 1898 Rugby International at Ennis Rd., Limerick, mounted and framed. Wooden poles of c 2cm square cross section with chamfered corners, with flags attached to top , means of fastening hidden by mounting. One flag of green and one of red silk, with double thickness of cloth folded at side away from pole. The two flags are mounted on card with poles forming a V-shape. Flags mounted on brown card with grey textitle rectangle between the two embroidered "Ireland v Wales/ Rugby International/ 1898/ Ennis Road Limerick". Wide gold coloured frame with beading; internal whitened frame to provide depth to frame; hardboard back. Two bronze eyes fastened to top edge and two to bottom edge, for hanging. Black on white framer's sticker "Framed by/ Ray Cummins/ Picture Framing/ 15 Catherine St.,/ Tel 061-415573" on reverse.
