Title page: Minutes of evidence / taken before / The Committee for Privileges / to whom / The Petition / of / The Right Honorable Standish Baron O'Grady / and Viscount Guillamore, / claiming / a right to vote at the elections of representative / peers for Ireland, / was referred. / Ordered to be printed 7th July 1856. 8pp, last blank. 10pp. Contents: Lord Redesdale, chairman; Mr Hodgson, cllr for petitioner, Edward Walmsley produced patent creating title (3pp long); Henry Stone Smith produced journal of House of Lords, 1833, establishing right of Guillamore to vote; William Ryves Croker, known family for 30 years, produced copy of marriage licence from Bishop of Limerick, 1790: Standish O'Grady, Mt Prospect, married Catherine Waller, Castletown; Robert Manley Lowe produced marriage settlement dated 12 Jan 1790, text of; Admiral Hayes O'Grady, brother, verified the marriage; Croker produced burial record of Knockainey, Guillamore buried 24 Apr 1840; Standish O'Grady, St Anns, Dublin, married Gertrude Jane Paget 16 Oct 1828: he buried Knockainey 25 July 1848; Rev Henry Ainslie produced baptism register of St George, Hanover Square, Guillamore baptised 28 July 1832.
