Palstave, green-patinated bronze. Long, slim, narrow bladed. Low cast flanges, curved in section at the junction with the haft. The stopridge, approx. two-fifths way along, is slightly curved in outline, but does not form a pocket. On one face on the haft, there are three short longtitudinal ridges running from the stopridge; the other face is damaged at this point, but a slight trace of one ridge remains. Immediately below the stopridge and forming part of it, a low raised band, 0.5cm wide, runs around the object. It is damaged on one face. The sides of the blade curve gently outwards towards the cutting edge, originally slightly convex in outline, now flattened and blunted. The blade has low cast flanges, highest behind the cutting edge, petering out at the raised band. There is no loop. All surfaces are pitted, severely in places.
