Postcard, b/w glossy, landscape format, white margin around view. title at bottom left of view, "Old Ground Hotel, Ennis, Co. Clare". View shows the front of the hotel with two people sat at a table under an umbrella, at front left and front right. Reverse printed in black "Post Card " at centre top with T-shaped division below with "This is a real photograph. Foreign Printing" up centre.; to left "This space for communication"; to right "Address to be written here". Red Eire one penny stamp at top right, with outline map of Ireland under an arch labelled "Eire". Circular cancellation "Inis/ 2.0 PM, 3 IX/ 39". Addressed to Mr. P. O'Sullivan, c/o 58 Brian Rd., Marino Dublin, from Anne, message having a good time. Pencil dealer's mark at top right "£4".
