Aerial view, of the park with Spring Rice Memorial at centre; St. Michael's at top left, Art Gallery by right edge, ends of Hartstonge and Barrington's Streets at top. Reverse printed in black; at centre top a trade mark of a strip of film wrapped around a single engine monoplane, with "Aero Views Ltd., Dublin" on film; up centre as division "A reproduction of a real colour photograph by Aero-Views Ltd., Dublin"; to left at top "In 1767 Sexton Pery designed and planned the principal/ residential and commercial part of Limerick City. With wide/ streets of Georgian brick houses crossing at right angles and a/ main artery (O'Connell Street) extending for nearly a mile it/ became known as Newtown Pery. His name is honoured at/ Pery Square beside People's Park. The Pillar Monument was/ erected as a tribute to Thomas Spring-Rice, 1st Baron Mont-/ eagle, for his devotion to justice and civic reform. Inside the/ entrance is the Carnegie Library with Public Museum and Art/ Gallery. St. Michael's Church fronts on to the square"; to right "Post Card/ Address only" with box for stamp to right in which "Postage/ stamp/ here"; below "M" followed by five lines for address; "Printed in Republic of Ireland" at bottom right.
