View shows Lakeside Hotel from opposite bank, with canal lock entrance in foreground; cruise boat on river at centre, twin sailed boat tied up et edge of river. Reverse printed in grey; at bottom left a rectangle containing an outline map of Ireland with arrow pointing to dot over Killaloe; to left of last "Cruising on the River Shannon at Killaloe, Co. Clare:/ The River Shannon is the longest river in these islands, and/ flows for the grater part through the Central Plain of Ireland./ Killaloe has a very fine situation on the west bank of the/ Shannon where the river emerges from Lough Derg and narrows/ again on its way to the sea at Limerick.
