Jar, whiskey, stoneware. Stamped on shoulder, opposite handle "David Begley/ Wine & Spirit Merchant/ 1 George St. & 36 William St./ Limerick", maker's stamp to left of handle in an oval "Grosvenor/ Eagle Pottery/ Glasgow". Stamp "2" on neck, 2 gallons. Widening in diameter from base to a rounded shoulder; short squat neck, broad flat rim; strap handle curls from shoulder below rim, round level with rim, to body of pot. Overall glaze, brown on rim and shoulder, clear/ white on body.
