Receipt, printed; filled out in black ink. "Government of the Irish Republic/ 5 per cent. Registered Certificates (1919) (Internal)". Receipt no. 886, dated 30-4-1920, made out in the name of Mrs Mary Kiely, Glentworth Street, Limerick, for the sum of fifty pounds, for one certificate. Printed name of Minister of Finance Micheal O Coileain (Michael Collins) and signed by Searse Mac Fhlannchadha (George Clancy). At bottom is printed "Preserve this receipt carefully. It will be exchanged in due course for the definite certificate". Perforation marks along top edge and left side. On the reverse are four dabs of glue, as though the certificate has been mounted at on time. Three folds in the paper, now flattened.
