Postcard, colour matt; title at top left "The Shannon at Killaloe (from top of Cathedral Tower). View looking northwards; Lakeside Hotel to top left with weir below it; bridge over canal in foreground with 6 spans of the bridge over the Shannon which runs to right edge; on the Tipperary side is a steam engine on the railway spur line from Birdhill; in bottom left corner are a few houses at the near end of the bridge. Reverse printed in brown; at top slightly left of centre; "Post Card" with double division lines below.; up left edge "Hely's Limited. Dublin"; to left of division "The communication may/ be written in this space"; to right "Put the Address here"; box for stamp at top right corner in which "Inland/ 1/2d./ Foreign/ 1d." and with "Printed in Saxony" down the outside edge. Unposted and unused. Pencil dealer's marks at top left "Clare" and bottom right "£2.25."
