Copyright."; left of centre "For Communication" to right "Address"; box for stamp at top right corner obscured by stamp, with "Printed in/ Great Britain" below bottom edge of box. Two stamps, at left "Eire half pingin green stamp showing a hand holding a shining sword inside an oval; red one pingin Eire definitive issue, showing outline map of Ireland. Two interlinked circular black cancellations both the same "Ath Dara/ 21 IX/ 42". Addressed to C.W.M Cox Esq, Colonial Office, Whitehall, London S.W. from Isaiah Berlin (Later Sir?) having a good time also "Tell Mr Hart that we are agog about the imminent meeting with Mr. Felkin who is returning to U.S. and is variously regarded by my companions (among who is Dick X)". Pencil dealer's marks "Lim" at top left and "60p" to left of address.
