Postcard, b/w, glossy; portrait style; narrow white margin around; title in bottom left of view, "People's Park and Spring Rice memorial, Limerick." View shows the memorial at centre seen through a frame of trees, with church tower, St. Michael's?, in the background above the trees. Reverse printed in black; "Post Card" at centre top, with shield under, with "Signal/ Series/ E & S/ D & B" in shield; central division line, with "This is a real photograph" at centre of line reading down; "Correspondence" to right of centre. Two stamps at top right corner; red one pingin, definitive issue with outline map of Ireland; green half pingin definitive issue of a monk at a reading desk, affixed sideways. Large circular black cancellation across both stamps, reads Pallis Grean/ 8 X/ 45/ Co. Luimnigh". Addressed to Mr John Dwyer, 11 Harold St., Scotswood, Newcastle 5, England, from Veronica, his niece; message having a lovely time. Pencil dealer's marks "Lim" at top left and "80p" at bottom to right of centre.
