Postcard, black and white, glossy; white margin around; title in view at bottom left "Emmet Street, Kilmallock." View from the opposite side of the mainstreet down to Blossom gate, with main street running across foreground; on corner at right is a ruined building on which is a large poster partially obscured by a telegraph pole in the foreground reads "Car??/ Grea[t]/ Barg[ain]/ Sal[e]/ Today"; finger signpost at opposite corner; two loaded flat-bed carts at pavement at right, three people and a bicycle on right pavement. Reverse printed in brown; "Post card/ British Made" at centre top with a T-shape under indication division; "MacCarthy, Newsagent, Kilmallock." up left edge; to left of centre "Correspondence"; to right "Address Only". Unposted and unused. Ink inscription "15/1/47" at top right; pencil dealer's marks "Lim" at top left and "Sm Crease/ [pound sign]8" at bottom centre.
