Postcard, b/w, matt; title at bottom left "River Maigue, adare, Co. limerick". View shows a bend in the Maigue which runs from foreground to mid picture, with a pasture running down to the water's edge of the left bank, with woodland behind; there is a herd of cattle in the pasture. Reverse printed in dark brown "Post Card" at centre top with vertical division below; "Dunraven Arms Hotel, Adare. Copyright" up left edge; For Communication" to left of centre; "Address" to right; box for stamp at top right corner, with "Printed in/ Great Britain" under the bottom edge. Unposted and unused. Pencil inscription at top left "Lim" and bottom left of centre "[pound sign]1.25". A small piece of printed paper is stuck to the back at bottom right.
