Postcard, b/w, matt, with margin across the bottom in which is printed in brown; "Sampson's Island, Kilkee. Co. Clare" (nr Loop Head). View shows a deep chasm seen from above, with a wooden look-out pier projecting out over the drop; three ladies are standing at the end of the pier, while three men stand at the landward end. Reverse printed in brown; "Post Card" at centre top with wavy vertical line below; "Lawrence, Dublin" up left edge; "For INLAND Postage this Space as well as the/ Back may now be used for Communication./ For FOREIGN Postage the Back only./ (Post Office Regulations.)" to left of centre; to right "The address only to be written here". Unposted and unused.
