Postcard, colour, glossy. White margin around picture; text in bottom margin reads, "Lemaneagh Castle, The Burren". The view shows the front of the castle, with cattle grazing in the field in front. Printed in black on the reverse; "SP238" at top left; at bottom left "Lemaneagh Castle situated on the edge of the Burren Region/ of Co. Clare, was an important O'Brien stronghold. The remains/ are of a tall oblong tower dating from about 1480 and attached/ to it a seventeenth-century high-gabled house of four storeys./ In 1651 Conor O'Brien died here of wounds received in/ defending the Pass of Inchicronan against the Cromwellians.", with "Photography: Peter Zoller" below. Trade mark at centre top "Insight" followed by a triskele, both in white in a black rectangle, with "Ireland" below in black. Rectangular box for stamp at top right, five lines for address below. Bottom right, copyright sign followed by "Insight Cards Limited/ Crescent Road, Rogerstown, Rush, Co. Dublin, Ireland/ Telephone 01-438844. Unposted and unused.
