Print, mounted, "Ennis Abbey, County Clare", with "From an original drawing (Eighteenth Century) by Pelham" below the picture hidden by the mount. Shows the ruins from across the fields from the south-east; the tower does not have its early 19th century pinnacles, but the nave is roofed; in the left foreground a woman is driving a sheep. Taken from "(Dublin Penny Journal), A Magazine of Art, Archaeology, Literature and Science, Vol. II, No. 52, Dublin Saturday March 26th 1904. Price one penny.", the title of the periodical has been cropped by the mounter. Text around view and on reverse, that on the reverse about 17th century Kilkenny. Attached to the mount at top with sellotape. Olive green mount with gold line around print.
