Ewer, bronze, patinated black. Cast in one piece. Three legged, with globular body, long upright neck, strap handle and a long spout emerging from the globular body. The neck flares slightly before straightening to the narrow rounded rim. The handle is rectangular in cross-section, running from the upper portion of the body to the base of the straight section of the rim. The spout is hexagonal in external section, near circular internally, with a flat rim, thicker on the half away from the vessel. There are two stepped grooves on the spout near the rim on the faces towards the vessel. A retaining bar of hexagonal section runs at a slightly upward angle from midway up the neck to midway up the spout. The spout is straight below the bar, bending outwards at the bar. The legs are squat D-shaped in cross-section, narrowing towards the D-sectioned feet. Each leg has a central groove along the straight internal face, running into a leaf-shaped shallow hollow on the base of the foot. C14th Medieval.
