Collection object: Postcard

Postcard, colour, matt; title in inset at bottom right "The Market, Limerick". Shows an active scene in the inside of the Cornmarket, with clothes dealers under the roofed section and a number of barrows selling unidentifiable things in the centre, with people, mostly women, gathered around them; there are at least five donkey carts in the picture. Reverse printed in brown "Post Card" at centre top partly underlined and with vertical division line below; up left edge "Eyre & Spottiswoode's Woodbury Series- No.3806"; to left of centre "This Space may be used/ for communication/ (see Post Office guide)"; to right of centre "The address only to be/ written here"; box for stamp at top right in which "Inland / 1/2d./ Stamp/ Foreign/ 1d." Unposted and unused. Dealer's marks "Lim" at top left and "£15" at bottom to left of centre.
